Geography

Midagar is by far the flattest nation of Amaris, with very little hills or mountains dotting its landscape other than dunes or valleys. The majority of the nation towards its central, eastern and southern regions is desert, which brings unbearable heat and cold nights for those who aren't used to the climate. Midagarians are hardy Froads and settle near oasis pools along known trade routes and roads or create dug-out villages underground and under the sand. Temperatures begin to level off towards the northern regions of the nation, including minimal grasslands and forests. Many trees in Midagar, if any, grow low-to-the-ground and have deep, strong roots, which carries a motif for the nation's culture.

Culture

Froads of Midagar prefer to live by themselves or with their closest friends, even though their cities and villages tend to be quite big. Midagarians may appear cold at first but they're always happy to help anyone if rewards are involved. They usually raise their young with their partners and occasionally send them to education circles where froadlets learn from masters in cartography, mining and hunting. Jewelery and painting are common activities Midagarians like to indulge themselves with in their free time. Midagarians are responsible for some of the best bestiaries and gathering guides.

Midagarian cuisine is heavily dependent on meat and grains imported from Burugolia. Many outsiders travel to try their pastries and delicious skewers.

Their homes are distinguished by mixing blocky and rounded shapes. They are usually built with bricks and clay, often decorated by colorful cloths and carvings on walls. Midagarians also set up sturdy tents near hunting sites since the expeditions may take days or even weeks depending on the weather.

Local Attire

Midagarians often balance functionality with their rich culture's reliance on jewelry and geometric designs into their attire. Many Midagarians will wear long and baggy clothing despite the heat, mostly to help in regulating temperature and keeping the sun off of their scales. It's common to find beautifully handcrafted jewelry deriving from the gold and silver they often mine in their country. Local attire also usually includes hoods of some sorts or short-brimmed hats to combat the breeziness of Midagar weather.

Attire in Midagar is very indicative of its rich culture, and its clothes are more complex and designed than other nations.
